Description
Contemporary 1 is a classic espresso with plenty of natural sweetness and a familiar flavor profile with little acidity. The interplay of our coffees from Brazil, Colombia, and India brings to mind chocolate, nougat, and roasted hazelnuts. Strong on its own or pleasantly noticeable with (oat) milk, it is the ideal espresso for every day.

Preparation instructions
Portafilter
Coffee dose: 18 g
Grind size: fine
Temperature: 94 °C
Total extraction time: 28–30 seconds
Water volume: 36 g
STEP 01
If possible, set your espresso machine’s water temperature to 94 °C.
STEP 02
We recommend using 18 g of coffee. It’s best to grind the coffee fresh with a coffee grinder. Choose a fine grind size.
STEP 03
Use the tamper to press down the ground coffee and lock in the portafilter. Then start the brewing process immediately.
STEP 04
We recommend a brew ratio of 1:2. With 18 g of coffee, 36 g of espresso should come out of the espresso machine. The entire brewing process should be completed within 28–30 seconds.
